Social Cat publishes its pricing, and it is among the lowest in the category. Read at thesocialcat.com/pricing on 29 September 2026, there are three monthly plans: Essentials at $99, Performance at $199 and Pro at $299, all in US dollars, with a 7-day free trial, no contract and cancel anytime. The plans differ by how many creators you can collaborate with each month (5, 15 or 30), invitations, campaigns and seats. What the price does not include is the creators themselves, and Social Cat does not process creator payments at all: you pay each creator directly.

That last point is the one most Social Cat pricing write-ups skip, and it changes the real cost for a US brand. Below are the plans exactly as published, what each one works out to per creator, what you still pay and handle yourself, and how it compares with the other platforms that publish a price.

On Social Cat the subscription is the easy part. Paying creators, and the paperwork that goes with it, happens outside the platform.

Social Cat plans and prices

All figures are from Social Cat's pricing page, read on 29 September 2026. The page lists monthly prices only, with "Cancel anytime. No commitments." above the plans. We found no annual plan or annual discount on the page.

PlanPriceCreators per monthInvitations per monthCampaignsTeam seatsCost per creator slot
Essentials$99/moUp to 5Up to 1,00011$19.80
Performance$199/moUp to 15Up to 2,500Up to 3Up to 5$13.27
Pro$299/moUp to 30Up to 5,000UnlimitedUp to 10$9.97

The last column is our arithmetic: the plan price divided by the monthly creator cap, assuming you use every slot. Every plan includes the same core tools: gifted and paid collaborations on Instagram and TikTok, unlimited content per collaboration, content usage rights for all content, inbox and messaging, a content library, creator reviews, contracts, private notes and the ability to replace a collaboration. Pro adds a "Top Brand Badge" and priority support. On a year, the plans cost $1,188, $2,388 and $3,588.

Is there a Social Cat free trial?

Yes. Social Cat offers a 7-day free trial on brand plans, and every "Start Free Trial" button on the pricing page goes to the same brand sign-up. There is no free plan for brands. Creators join free. Seven days is enough to post a campaign and see who applies, but not enough to ship product, receive content and judge results, so treat the trial as a look at the creator pool rather than a test of the outcome.

How Social Cat creator payments work

Social Cat's help center is direct about it: payments "must be handled directly between the brand and the creators and cannot be processed via Social Cat." It says it is working on a payment system, and until then it suggests PayPal, Venmo, bank transfer or Cash App. The platform takes no cut of what creators earn.

For a paid campaign you set a minimum and maximum you are willing to pay, creators apply, and you settle the fee with each one outside the app. Independent reviews report creators on the platform charging anywhere from about $25 to $500 per paid collaboration, which fits what micro and nano creators charge elsewhere. Social Cat's own case studies cite results such as "$1150 for 75 pieces of content" and "an average of $18 per content piece", which are mostly gifted and low-fee UGC collaborations. Those are the brands' figures, not a price list.

For a US brand, paying creators outside the platform has three practical consequences:

  • Tax paperwork is yours. If you pay a US creator $2,000 or more in a calendar year for services, the IRS instructions for Form 1099-NEC now set the reporting threshold at "at least $2,000", up from $600. You need the creator's W-9 before you pay, and nothing in Social Cat collects it. Payments made through a card or a third-party network such as PayPal goods and services are generally reported by the processor on Form 1099-K rather than by you on a 1099-NEC, so how you pay changes what you file. Ask your accountant which applies.
  • Proof of payment is yours. If a creator says they were not paid, the record is your PayPal or bank history, not the platform. Keep each payment matched to the collaboration it covers.
  • Processing fees are yours. PayPal and card payments carry fees, and paying creators abroad adds currency conversion. Social Cat is based in London and has creators in several countries, so filter for US creators if you only ship in the US.

None of this is a problem at five gifted collaborations a month. At 30 paid creators a month on Pro, it is a real bookkeeping job. Most brands end up exporting the month's PayPal and bank activity and matching it to creators in a spreadsheet, and if your statements only come as PDFs, it helps to convert the bank statement to Excel first so every creator payment sits on its own row.

What a real month on Social Cat costs

Take a US skincare brand on the Performance plan running 15 creators in a month: 10 gifted collaborations and 5 paid ones at $150 each, paid by PayPal.

LineAmount
Performance plan$199
5 paid creators at $150$750
Product for 15 creators at $25 landed cost, plus shipping at $8 each$495
Payment processing on $750 (varies by method)roughly $0 to $30
Total for the monthabout $1,444 to $1,474

The software is 14% of that month. That is the point worth taking from any Social Cat pricing comparison: at this end of the market the subscription is small next to creator fees and product, so the plan to pick is the one whose creator cap matches your volume, and the platform to pick is the one that gets you creators who actually sell.

Social Cat pricing compared with other platforms that publish a price

Most influencer platforms still hide pricing behind a demo. These are the ones that publish it, as checked on each vendor's own pricing page.

Is Social Cat worth it?

Social Cat is worth it for a small brand that wants a cheap, simple way to post a campaign and let creators apply, mostly for gifted products and low-cost UGC on Instagram and TikTok. The price is honest, there is no contract and the trial costs nothing. It is a weaker fit when you need creators vetted for real engagement before you ship anything, when you pay dozens of creators a month and want payments and tax forms handled in one place, or when your audience is strictly American and you do not want to screen out overseas applicants yourself.

Reviewers who compare it with bigger suites say the same thing in their own words: it is intentionally lightweight, with limited analytics and no deep CRM. That is a fair trade at $99. It becomes less fair at $299 plus a growing payments job you do by hand.

Social Cat alternatives for US brands

If the reason you are pricing Social Cat is that you want affordable micro-influencers who actually sell, the question to ask each vendor is where the creators come from and how you know their audience is real. Social Cat is an application model: you post a campaign and creators apply. That brings volume, and it also means you screen every applicant yourself.

MicroInfluencers works the other way round. You describe your brand and your customer, and the AI match ranks engagement-verified US micro and nano creators on niche, audience fit and real engagement, with fake followers and engagement pods screened out before you see the shortlist. The brief carries the FTC disclosure by default, and on Growth the creator payment runs through the platform with the creator's tax form declared before any payout is released. You can find micro influencers for your brand in the live demo before choosing a plan, and our influencer marketing for small business page covers how smaller teams usually structure a first round.

Social Cat pricing FAQ

How much does Social Cat cost?

Social Cat costs $99 a month for Essentials, $199 a month for Performance and $299 a month for Pro, as published on its pricing page on 29 September 2026. Plans are monthly with no contract, and there is a 7-day free trial. Creator fees and product are extra, because Social Cat does not process creator payments.

Does Social Cat take a commission from creators?

No. Social Cat says creators keep 100% of what they are paid and that it takes no commission on creator earnings. Brands pay creators directly by PayPal, Venmo, bank transfer or a similar method, so the only platform cost is the monthly subscription. Payment processing fees from the method you choose are separate.

Is Social Cat good for small businesses?

Social Cat is built for small businesses, and its $99 Essentials plan is one of the cheapest published prices in the category. It suits gifted and low-fee collaborations with up to five creators a month. Small brands that need vetted US creators or in-platform payments and tax forms should compare it with platforms that handle those steps.

Can I cancel Social Cat anytime?

Yes. Social Cat's pricing page says "Cancel anytime. No commitments." and its homepage repeats that there are no contracts. Plans are billed monthly. That makes Social Cat low risk to try, but check what happens to your content library and collaborations before you cancel so you keep the files and usage rights you paid for.

Does Social Cat work for US brands?

Yes. Social Cat lists prices in US dollars and works with US brands, although the company is based in London and its creators are not only in the US. If you sell only in the US, ask applicants for their audience location before you ship product, because an overseas audience cannot buy from a US-only store.
