JoinBrands publishes its pricing, and the subscription is the smaller part of the bill. Read at joinbrands.com/pricing on 27 September 2026: there is a Free plan, then Start-up at $99 a month, Pro at $299 and Max at $499, with 10% off for annual billing. Every plan adds a platform fee to each creator payment: 15% on Free, 12% on Start-up, 10% on Pro and 8% on Max. Paid plans return a monthly Roll Over Cash credit ($30, $90 or $150) that is applied to creator payments. Content is priced per job from $10 an image and $25 a video, set by you and the creator.

So "how much does JoinBrands cost" has the same answer as most creator marketplaces: subscription, plus what you pay creators, plus a percentage of what you pay creators, minus the credit. The interesting part is what happens when you run that formula across the four plans, because the plan JoinBrands labels most popular turns out never to be the cheapest one. The math is below, using only JoinBrands' own figures.

JoinBrands plans and prices

These figures come from JoinBrands' pricing page and its help center article on brand fees, both read on 27 September 2026. Prices are in US dollars, billed monthly, and exclude what you pay creators.

PlanMonthly pricePlatform fee on creator paymentsRoll Over Cash credit each monthWho JoinBrands says it is for
Free$015%$0Exploring UGC for the first time
Start-up$9912%$30Small brands running occasional campaigns
Pro$29910%$90Growing brands, with featured placement (labelled most popular)
Max$4998%$150High-volume brands and agencies

Annual billing takes 10% off the subscription, which works out at about $89, $269 and $449 a month. Content prices are the same on every plan: UGC images from $10, UGC videos, TikTok videos, TikTok Shop videos, Amazon shoppable videos, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts from $25, TikTok Shop lives at $1 a minute and AI-generated videos at $5 each. Higher plans also unlock more creator invites per campaign, extra revision requests, 4K resolution, custom watermarks and white-label links.

How the platform fee works

JoinBrands' help center is direct about it: the platform fee is charged "on each completed job" and "applied to the total amount paid to creators". It is added on top of the creator's price, so a $100 video on the Free plan costs you $115. The creator's price is whatever you post in the job and they accept, which is why every price on the rate card ends in a plus sign.

Roll Over Cash is the part of the pricing most write-ups skip. It is a monthly credit on paid plans that is applied automatically to creator payments. According to the pricing page FAQ, the balance does not expire at the end of a billing cycle, it keeps accumulating while you stay subscribed, and it survives a downgrade to a lower paid plan. So as long as you pay creators at least the credit amount each month, it is a straight discount on the subscription: Start-up nets out at $69, Pro at $209 and Max at $349.

Which JoinBrands plan is cheapest? The $7,000 crossover

Put the three pieces together and each plan's real monthly cost is a straight line: the net subscription plus the fee rate times your creator spend.

  • Free: 15% of creator spend.
  • Start-up: $69 plus 12% of creator spend.
  • Pro: $209 plus 10% of creator spend.
  • Max: $349 plus 8% of creator spend.

Free is cheapest until you pay creators about $2,300 a month. Above that, Start-up wins. And then something odd happens: Start-up, Pro and Max all cost exactly the same, $909, at $7,000 a month of creator spend. Below $7,000, Start-up is cheaper than Pro. Above $7,000, Max is cheaper than Pro. On fees and credits alone, the Pro plan is never the cheapest option at any spend level. On annual billing the lines shift but the shape does not: all three paid plans meet at about $6,000 a month, and Pro is still never the lowest line.

Figures are the platform's cost to you on top of creator payments, on monthly billing, net of Roll Over Cash. Our calculation from JoinBrands' published rates.

That does not make Pro a bad buy. It carries featured placement, which can pull better creator applications to your jobs, plus more invites and revisions than Start-up. It just means you are paying for those features, not saving money, and it is worth deciding whether you need them rather than defaulting to the badge.

What a realistic JoinBrands month costs

A worked example. A Shopify skincare brand orders 20 UGC videos a month for paid social at $60 each, plus 20 product photos at $20 each. Creator spend is $1,600. On the Free plan that costs $1,600 plus $240 in fees, so $1,840. On Start-up it is $1,600 plus $99 plus $192 in fees minus $30 credit, so $1,861. At this volume, Free is still the cheaper plan by about $21 a month, and the paid plan only earns its place if the extra invites and revisions matter to you.

Now a brand spending $8,000 a month on creators across TikTok Shop videos and Amazon shoppable videos. Start-up costs $1,029 on top of creator payments, Pro $1,009 and Max $989. The spread between plans is small in dollars, and the platform line as a whole is around 12% of creator spend. That percentage, not the subscription, is the number to compare against other vendors. If you are weighing it against a creator-rate benchmark, our UGC content cost guide sets out what creators charge across the market.

What JoinBrands is good at

Being fair about it, JoinBrands is one of the cheapest ways to buy volume UGC in the US. The per-job rate card starts low, the Free plan lets you test with no subscription, and monthly plans carry no lock-in: upgrades apply immediately and downgrades at the next billing cycle, per its FAQ. It is especially strong on shoppable formats most platforms ignore, including TikTok Shop videos and lives and Amazon shoppable videos. If Amazon is your main channel, our Amazon influencer marketing page compares the routes. JoinBrands also sells AI-generated videos at $5 each; if synthetic ads are really what you want, a dedicated AI video generator that turns a product URL into a video ad is worth pricing alongside it.

Where it fits less well is the job most brands mean when they say influencer marketing: a creator posting to their own audience and moving sales from those followers. JoinBrands is built around content jobs. The files are the product, and reach comes from your ad account. If you need creators whose audiences are verified and who post to their own followers, you are buying a different thing.

Is JoinBrands worth it?

For a brand that wants a lot of cheap, licensed UGC for its own ads and is happy to run the creative side itself, yes. Start on Free, move to Start-up once you pay creators more than about $2,300 a month, and jump straight to Max once you pass about $7,000, unless Pro's placement and extra invites are genuinely worth the premium to you.

It is weaker when you need a creator's audience rather than a creator's camera, when you care who is watching more than what the file costs, or when you want fake-follower screening before you pay anyone. For that job, compare the options on our UGC creator marketplace page.
