HypeAuditor alternative with pricing, reviews and competitors compared

The short answer

HypeAuditor is an influencer analytics platform built around audience quality and fraud detection. Its own site advertises a 227.1M+ creator database with 27+ search filters and 35+ vetting metrics per creator, plus campaign management, media plans, market and competitor analysis, an API, a Zapier integration and a Chrome extension. It does not publish pricing: as of 19 August 2026 its pricing page is a demo-booking form, though a limited free entry exists. MicroInfluencers publishes $49, $149 and $399 a month, vets every creator for fake followers before you see the shortlist, and pays creators their agreed cash rate in the same dashboard.

Illustrative profiles, not real creator accounts. Inside the product every creator is fake-follower-checked and engagement-verified, with #ad disclosure built into every brief.

HypeAuditor earned its reputation on one specific thing, and it is worth naming before comparing anything: audience quality. It has been in this market since 2017, its Analyze product is built around audience, performance and fraud insights, and its free Instagram, TikTok and YouTube audit tools are probably the most widely used fake-follower checkers in the category. If your job is to look at a creator someone has already proposed and decide whether their following is real, HypeAuditor does that better than almost anyone, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

The platform has also grown well beyond auditing. Its site lists creator discovery across a 227.1M+ database with 27+ search filters and 35+ vetting metrics per creator, recruitment and outreach, campaign management, media plans that forecast performance, media monitoring, market analysis and competitor analysis, an ecommerce module for tracking influencer sales, and influencer payments handled through PayPal. It sells to brands, agencies and ecommerce teams, publishes an API alongside a Zapier integration and a Chrome extension, and offers a professional services team that will run programs for you. That is a broad product, and for a large agency managing many client accounts it is a reasonable place to standardize.

Where it gets difficult is buying it. We checked hypeauditor.com/pricing on 19 August 2026 and there is no price on it. The page is a demo-booking form headed "See HypeAuditor in action", with a "Request demo" button and a "Talk to sales" link. There is a genuine free entry point, described on that page as free media plans, campaign management and demo versions of other features, so you can get inside the product without a call. What you cannot do is find out what the paid product costs. Third-party roundups fill that gap with figures that disagree with each other, and several of them are published by competing vendors, so we are not going to print one as a fact. If you see a specific HypeAuditor price quoted confidently anywhere, including on this page's rivals, check whether the source is HypeAuditor.

The deeper question is not price, though. It is what you are buying. HypeAuditor is fundamentally an intelligence layer: it tells you who is worth working with and how the campaign performed. The work in between, deciding which fifty creators actually suit your brand, briefing them, chasing the content, approving it and getting them paid, is where most small teams lose their week. MicroInfluencers is built for that middle. You describe your brand and niche, and the AI returns a ranked shortlist of micro and nano creators from 1,000 to 100,000 followers, each already fake-follower-checked and engagement-verified, so the audit is not a separate task you run account by account. You brief them with FTC #ad disclosure built into every brief, approve the content, track it, and pay each creator the cash rate they agreed, from $49 a month with no annual contract and no sales call.

One honest caveat about scale. Our marketplace is deliberately narrow: verified micro and nano creators, not a 227-million-row index of every account on the internet. If your job genuinely is to surface creators nobody in your category has approached, or to benchmark share of voice against competitors across many markets, a large research database is the right tool and we are not it. If your job is to run twenty good micro-creator collaborations this quarter without a procurement cycle, we are.

HypeAuditor is the stronger fit when you need deep audience-quality research, a very large discovery index, competitor and market analysis, or an API to pull creator data into your own systems. MicroInfluencers is the stronger fit when you want vetting built into the shortlist, the whole campaign run in one place, and a published price you can buy today.

Why brands pick MicroInfluencers

One marketplace that runs the whole campaign

Vetting that happens before the shortlist

Auditing creators one at a time is fine when someone hands you five names. It does not scale to fifty. We screen for bought followers and hollow engagement as part of building the shortlist, so the list you open has already had that pass applied rather than leaving you a queue of reports to read.

A price you can see before you commit

Our plans are $49, $149 and $399 a month and you can sign up and start matching creators today. HypeAuditor routes paid plans through a demo request, which is the right model for an agency signing an annual contract and a poor one for a brand testing whether this channel works at all.

Analytics tell you who. Someone still has to run it

The gap most teams underestimate is the middle of the campaign: briefs, disclosure, revisions, deadlines and payment across dozens of creators. We put match, brief, approve, track and pay in one dashboard, with FTC #ad disclosure written into every brief, so the admin does not land back in a spreadsheet.

People also ask

What brands ask about HypeAuditor and the alternatives

How much does HypeAuditor cost?

HypeAuditor does not publish its pricing. We checked hypeauditor.com/pricing on 19 August 2026 and found a demo-booking form with a Request demo button and a Talk to sales link, and no figure anywhere on the page. It does offer a free entry point covering media plans, campaign management and demo versions of other features. Third-party sites quote specific monthly prices, but they disagree with each other and several are published by competing vendors, so treat them as estimates rather than facts. What HypeAuditor does disclose, and the free pricing calculator people confuse with its own plans, is on our HypeAuditor pricing breakdown.

Does HypeAuditor have a free version?

Yes, in two forms. Its pricing page offers a free account described as free media plans, campaign management and demo versions of other features. Separately, it publishes free tools that anyone can use without an account, including engagement rate calculators, audit tools and fake follower checkers for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. The full paid platform still requires a sales conversation.

What is the best HypeAuditor alternative?

It depends which part is not working. If you want a comparable research database with published prices, Modash publishes $299 and $599 a month and indexes 380M+ profiles. If you want a full campaign workflow with self-serve pricing, GRIN runs from a free tier to $1,500 a month. If the gap is that analytics tell you who to hire but leave you to run and pay the program, MicroInfluencers does the whole workflow for micro and nano creators from $49 a month.

Is HypeAuditor accurate?

Its audience-quality analysis is well regarded and it is one of the longest-standing specialists in influencer fraud detection, operating since 2017. No audience-quality score is a perfect measure, because every vendor is inferring follower authenticity from sampled public data rather than reading a platform ledger. Treat any single score as strong evidence rather than proof, and look at comment quality and view-to-follower ratios alongside it.

What platforms and metrics does HypeAuditor actually cover?

Its own site, checked on 20 August 2026, lists Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter) and Twitch, with 27+ search filters for discovery and 35+ metrics used to vet each creator. It states that 15,000 new influencers are added to the index every day and claims 95.5% of all known fraud activity is detected. The fraud and audience-quality side is the strongest part of the product and the free public checkers are effectively a live demo of it.

How many influencers does HypeAuditor have?

Its own site advertises a 227.1M+ creator database with 27+ search filters and 35+ vetting metrics per creator. That is one of the largest indexes in the category. Worth knowing that raw index size and useful coverage are different things: what matters is how many creators it holds in your specific niche, at your follower range, in the US, with contactable details. Ask for a sample search before committing to any vendor on database size alone.

Should I choose HypeAuditor or Modash?

Choose Modash if you want a large discovery index with published pricing you can act on immediately, at $299 and $599 a month against 380M+ profiles. Choose HypeAuditor if audience-quality depth, competitor and market analysis, or the API and Zapier integration matter more than knowing the price up front. Both are research-led tools, so neither removes the work of briefing, approving and paying creators.

Is HypeAuditor good for small businesses?

It is a better fit for agencies and larger in-house teams. The product is broad, the value is concentrated in research depth that small teams rarely exhaust, and the paid tiers run through a sales conversation rather than a checkout. A small brand running a handful of micro-creator campaigns usually gets more from a platform with published pricing and the campaign workflow included.

What are the main HypeAuditor competitors?

On discovery and analytics, Modash and Upfluence compete most directly: Modash publishes $299 and $599 a month with 380M+ profiles, while Upfluence quotes custom pricing after a demo and states a 12-month minimum. At the enterprise end, CreatorIQ, Traackr and Aspire all quote annual contracts after a sales call. GRIN publishes tiers from a free plan to $1,500 a month. MicroInfluencers competes on the micro and nano band with vetting and payments included from $49 a month.

Good questions

HypeAuditor vs MicroInfluencers, answered

For running micro-creator campaigns, yes, and you can start today on a published plan. For deep audience research, competitor benchmarking across markets, or pulling creator data into your own systems through an API, no. We do not offer an API and we do not index hundreds of millions of accounts. Some teams genuinely need both, and that is a fair answer.
Not for creators you hire through us. Fake-follower screening and engagement verification happen before a creator reaches your shortlist, so it is part of the match rather than a report you run afterwards. If you are evaluating a creator you found elsewhere, a standalone audit tool is still the quicker way to sanity-check one account. The checks we run before a creator reaches your shortlist are laid out on our influencer vetting page.
